BabylonChain is a blockchain project that aims to enhance the security and scalability of Proof-of-Stake (PoS) networks by leveraging the security of Bitcoin. The project introduces several innovative protocols designed to utilize idle Bitcoin for securing PoS chains without requiring the Bitcoin to be wrapped, bridged, or transferred to a third-party custodian.
The core idea behind BabylonChain is to create a trustless and secure staking mechanism for Bitcoin. This mechanism involves locking Bitcoin on the Bitcoin network itself and using advanced cryptographic techniques to enable these Bitcoins to provide security for PoS chains. This is achieved without compromising the security of the Bitcoin, as no third-party custodian is needed.
